I tried updating the drivers but that didn't work. The wifi adapter is an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230. When I did that, finally it started working again. I clicked on skip and then it said the Wifi was disabled and I had to re-enable it as an Administrator. First it would say to turn off the modem and turn it back on, but it wasn't plugged into the ethernet cable. When it finally did restart the wifi still wouldn't work until I again did the troubleshooting thing. At the bottom it said Drive Power State Failure. So I tried restarting the computer but it took a really long time, then I got a blue screen saying it had encountered problems and needed to restart. I tried turning off the wifi itself but then it won't let me turn it back on. I tried putting it into airplane mode for about 30 seconds then turning it back on but that won't work. I looked for other networks to connect to but it wouldn't show any, even though I know there were others. When I reopen it and plug it back in, it will say it's connected to the internet but it won't work. Whenever I unplug it I try to close the laptop quickly or else I have more problems. The WiFi will work again but only for a few minutes before it stops again and says default gateway is not available. If I use the troubleshooter, it will usually say the default gateway is not available and fix it. If I take it off the adapter, it'll work for a little bit then it will lose its internet connection. First, the Wifi only works properly when the AC adapter is plugged into a wall. I have a HP ENVY m6-k088ca Sleekbook that is having some problems with the WiFi.
